We will have two nights lodging at Mt. McKinley Princess Wilderness Lodge. We have one night at Fairbanks Hotel. We will receive a tour of Mt. McKinley and riverboat ride to Fairbanks. July 30: Mt. Mckinley Princess Wilderness Lodge: Step off your ship into a waiting railcar for our exclusive Direct-to-the-Wilderness rail service to the Mt. McKinley Princess Wilderness Lodge for a 1-night retreat. Here you'll settle in with Denali never far from view. Sit and gaze at the majesty of "The Great One" from the lodge's treehouse designed and built by Pete Nelson of Animal Planet's Treehouse Masters. You can choose optional excursions or simply enjoy the grounds of your lovely lodge.
July 31: Denali Princess Wilderness Lodge: You have time this morning for an optional excursion. Then depart on a scenic motorcoach ride to the Denali Princess Wilderness Lodge at the doorstep of Denali National Park. Get settled, and perhaps do an optional excursion. Or you may enjoy the spectacular main lodge, river view deck, and Princess Village with the popular Christmas cottage and sugar shack. Be sure to check out Fannie Q's Saloon, named after a famed local homesteader, or sit outside at a fireside patio.
August 1: Denali Princess Wilderness Lodge: Start your morning with a quick stop at Fannie Q's saloon for a hearty buffet breakfast. Explore Denali National Park on a Natural History Tour, watching for glimpses of Denali as well as Denali's "Big Five"; moose, caribou, bears, wolves and Dall sheep. Later today, you may want to simply relax with a glass of wine on the deck overlooking the Nenana River.
August 2: Fairbanks: You'll have the morning to relax, then travel by motorcoach to Fairbanks. This afternoon, take a sternwheeler Riverboat Cruise down the Chena River. You'll get to experience Gold Rush history, Native culture and colorful Alaska lifestyle of bush pilots, dog sledders and Native artisans.
August 3: Fairbanks: Fly home
